Crockpot French Dip

This slow cooked beef roast is a crowd pleaser. Using simple pantry ingredients, this roast boasts big flavor and a savory Au Jus for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 3 pound beef roast, whatever cut you like
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Cut your beef roast into 3 large chunks and place in the slow cooker.
  • Add all remaining ingredients to the beef and cover. Cook on high 5-6 hours or low 7-8 hours.
  • Remove the bay leaves and shred the meat, removing and discarding any unwanted fat.
  • Serve on hoagie rolls or french bread with Au Jus on the side.

Notes

  • Have leftovers? Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator or in the freezer in freezer safe containers up to 3 months.
  • Wondering what else to do with your french dip beef? Serve it over rice with a side of broccoli for a cook once, eat twice meal. Or, use it to fill tacos or quesadillas.
